PANEL --
Is the micro-chip brain of the system, has back-up battery with built-in charger, transformer for a/c power, phone line cut monitor, supervises fire, burglary, medical, panic and ambush controls. Also dialer to Central Station and dial personal pager.
KEYPAD --
Turns security system on/off, has digital back-lit readout of zones and status and memory of alarms, can program up to 40 User I.D. Codes.
SPEAKER WITH VOICE MODULE --
FOR BURGLARY INTRUSION: When alarm sounds it says "You have entered a protected area, the Police have been called -- Leave immediately!
FOR FIRE EMERGENCIES: The system reports "Fire -- Leave immediately! Fire -- Leave immediately!"
DOOR OR WINDOW CONTACT --
Allows you to know if a door or window is open.
AUDIO GLASS BREAK DETECTOR --
Can detect the sound of breaking glass, used when there are multiple windows or sliding glass doors in one room.
GLASS SHOCK SENSOR --
Can detect glass breaking on individual pane of glass, example: Large store front window.
MOTION DETECTOR --
Can detect both heat and movement from a live person or creature . . . should be used as backup to a perimeter security system.
SMOKE DETECTOR --
Is monitored by Central Station whether security system is on or off . . . 24 hours per day . . . should be placed in hallway bedroom areas.
RATE OF RISE HEAT DETECTOR --
Also monitored 24 hours/day . . . looks for rate change of heat and/or direct flame . . . is best used in boiler rooms, garages.
CARBON MONOXIDE OR GAS DETECTORS --
Also monitored 24 hours/day . . . Sensors sniff for gas leaks and sound off on premises and to Central before severe intensity.
